We have over a dozen public PCs available, and rarely with any wait. They all have Windows 11 and have the full Microsoft Office suite, along with graphics editing software, browsers, and a number of other applications to cover common computer needs. Like many newer PCs, they do not have an optical drive (for DVDs and CDs), but we do have USB optical drives available at the tech support desk upon request.
All of our computers are connected to our self-service printer, which is a laser printer capable of both black & white and color.
But you don’t even need our computers to print. You can also go to https://oldbridgelibrary.org/print on your phone or laptop and upload a document to our print server. It will stay there for about 24 hours, so you can send it in the morning and them come print it out that evening. Or print it from your own device from inside the library; the service works from anywhere.
The library offers free faxing to anywhere in the US or Canada.
We also have a station for scanning, which is also free. We have a flatbed scanner as well as a multi-page document feeder for convenience. Documents can be delivered by email, sent directly to your phone via a QR code, uploaded to common cloud storage services, or saved to a thumb drive.
We have a VHS to digital video converter located at our tech support desk. You can either call (732) 607-7933 ex 5040 to reserve a time, or come in for first-come-first-served service. We set up reservations in 3 hour blocks, so keep the length of your videos in mind when you visit. We recommend bringing in your own thumb drive for saving the videos. File sizes come out to be 480p, and are about 1 gig per hour.
