Old Bridge, NJ – Nov. 5, 2018 – Local area health professionals from Hackensack Meridian Health and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital will present the following informative programs and screenings on memory and hearing loss at the Old Bridge Public Library:
Memory Lecture and Screening: Thursday, November 8th @1pm. Hackensack Meridian Health and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America are joining forces to present lectures about memory disorders, as well as memory screenings. Following a lecture by Eric J. Uhrik, M.D., at 1:00pm, there will be memory screenings beginning at 2:00pm. For more information, please call 1-800-560-9990. This session will be particularly beneficial for those experiencing increased forgetfulness or trouble concentrating, performing familiar tasks, or recalling familiar words.
Hearing Loss and Treatment: Thursday, November 15th @11am: This program will explain the hearing process and how to recognize different types of hearing loss. There will also be a discussion about possible medical or rehabilitative treatments based on the type and degree of hearing loss. The session will be presented by Karen E. Sommer, AuD, Doctor of Audiology at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
