Old Bridge, NJ – Jan. 12, 2016 — The Old Bridge Public Library will once again offer English as a Second Language (ESL) classes on Tuesday evenings from 7-8:30pm, and will now also offer sessions on Wednesday mornings from 10 – 11:30am. The classes, which are available to Old Bridge Residents only, will begin on February 16th and 17th and run for approximately 13 sessions.

Registration is underway and must be done in-person at the Adult & Information Services desk at the Central Branch of the Library. Classes are free and are taught in small groups by trained volunteers. The Library is currently seeking volunteer tutors, who must be fluent in English and must be enthusiastic to help adults improve their English language skills.  Potentially interested individuals should contact the Library’s Adult Reference Desk for more details: 732-721-5600 X5033.

“We are pleased to expand our ESL sessions at this time,” noted Library Director Nancy Cohen, “and we hope that many in the community will take advantage of this valuable resource while others volunteer their time to help make a difference in someone’s life.”
