Old Bridge, NJ – May 1, 2018 – The Old Bridge Public Library will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the central branch building with a wide array of programs, concerts and special events during the month of May, many featuring a 1990s theme.

During the official anniversary week, which runs from Saturday, May 19th to Friday, May 25th, the Library will offer giveaways, prizes and refreshments for visitors, and will host an anniversary ceremony on Saturday, May 19th at 1:30pm.  The ceremony will feature appearances by local township officials who will preside over the burial of a time capsule in the garden.

“The Library staff has worked hard to develop interesting, entertaining and nostalgic programs to commemorate our rich history,” noted Library Director Nancy Cohen. “In addition to our regular array of classes, story times, concerts and lectures, we’ll be ‘supersizing’ our programming to include even greater offerings for all ages, and there will be many unique displays, decorations and giveaways to enjoy as we reminisce about the past 25 years.”

Among the programming highlights are:

Wednesday, May 16 at 7pm:  Film Screening: Nightmare Before Christmas.  This interactive screening will feature audience participation, costumes, sing-alongs, snacks, and spooky décor in honor of the 25th anniversary of the film’s release.
