Old Bridge, NJ –  March 19, 2019 – The Old Bridge Public Library will host a live performance of the Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) on Sat. April 6th at 2pm.

Presented by the Hudson Shakespeare Company, the 90-minute show features three actors in a high-energy romp through Shakespeare’s canon. They will perform sketch comedy bits of some of the Bard’s most famous, as well as lesser known, works. Described as “Saturday Night Live” meets Shakespeare, the fast-firing comedy parodies all of the Shakespeare plays as well as several sonnets.  Characters are in near constant motion as they keep the audience guessing how they will transition into the next play.

The Hudson Shakespeare Company is a regional theatrical touring company based in Jersey City, NJ, that produces an annual summer Shakespeare in the Park festival and offers a variety of theatrical productions and educational programs in libraries, parks, schools and other venues throughout the state.

Attendees are requested to bring a non-perishable, unexpired donation for the Old Bridge Food Pantry to this free event.
