Old Bridge, NJ – August 25, 2016 – The Old Bridge Public Library is pleased to offer a new program series designed for adults with special needs and their caregivers. “Sensory Time for Adults” will combine various activities, such as stories, games, music and crafts, and will give participants the opportunity to refine their communication and social skills.

The monthly program will begin Wed. Sep. 14th at 10:30am, with a theme of “Fabulous Fiesta,” celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. The October 12th session will have an autumnal and Halloween theme. The program is available to individuals and their caregivers, as well as those coming in together as part of a group home or day care facility.

“Caregivers are often searching for activities for adults with special needs,” noted Library Director Nancy Cohen. “We have the chance to meet the needs of our community, giving adults with special needs even more opportunities to feel welcomed and valued and we hope that many will join us for this special series.”
