Old Bridge, NJ – April 2, 2019 – The Old Bridge Public Library will present programs on healthcare topics, including preventing Medicare scams, managing medications, and ensuring effective doctor visits, in the coming weeks. All Library programs are free and open to the public.
Preventing Healthcare Fraud: Mon., April 15th @2pm. This program will focus on how to avoid falling victim to Medicare scams. It will explain how to identify deceptive health care practices, how to protect personal identity and how to identify and report errors on health care bills. Presented by New Jersey Senior Medicare Patrol at Jewish Family Services of Middlesex County.
Medication Management: Thurs., April 25th @11am. Keeping track of medications and when to take them can be overwhelming to many. This session will explore how to take control of prescriptions and suggest simple strategies to help manage them and keep them organized. Presented by Hackensack Meridian Health; registration required.
Effective Doctor Visits: Mon., April 29th @11am. This program will explore how patients can maximize doctor visits. It will provide helpful tips on how to prepare for a doctor visit, provide tools for smooth and effective communication with physicians, and how to best follow-up after appointments. Presented by Horizon BCBS of NJ; registration required.
