Old Bridge, NJ – June 9, 2016 – The Old Bridge Public Library is offering several programs which will appeal to aspiring fashionistas and seamstresses this summer.

The American Sewing Guild (ASG) will present the following  workshops at the Library over the next several months.

 • Making a Long sleeve T-shirt: Sat. July 23th 1-4pm.
• Embellish Me!: Sat. Aug. 13th 1-4pm.

Attendees must bring a sewing machine, fabric and notions. More details can be found at www.oldbridgelibrary.org or by contacting Regina Hyatt of the ASG at 732-804-3036. The ASG is a national non-profit membership organization dedicated to people who believe sewing is a rewarding and creative activity. Chapters are located in cities all across the country and members meet monthly to learn new sewing skills, network with others who share an interest in sewing and participate in community service sewing projects. Additionally, on Sat. June 25th at 2pm, the Library will offer a program entitled, “How to Accessorize in the Summer: Easy Tips to Go from Beachwear to Dinner.” Presenter Laura Rabuffo from Ralph Lauren will talk about the latest summer must-haves that allow women to easily transition from beachwear to an evening out. Attendees should bring one or two scarves. This hands-on workshop will demonstrate different ways to tie scarves to pair with any summer outfit. A question and answer session will follow.

The Library will also continue its monthly drop-in sewing classes on select Monday evenings at 7pm, as well as parent/child and teen/adult sewing classes on select Fridays and Saturdays. More details, schedules and registration information are available on the Library’s web site.

The Old Bridge Public Library was recently voted “Best Public Library in Middlesex County” by the readers of the Home News Tribune.
