Old Bridge, NJ – November 24, 2017 – The Old Bridge Public Library will offer patrons a respite from the hectic holiday season with two music events in December.

On Sat. Dec. 9th at 2:30pm, the Library’s Second Saturday Concert Series will feature “This Train is Bound for Glory,” a performance exploring the roots of gospel music.  Acoustic guitarist/vocalist Nina Romano returns to the Library with bassist Tim Smith for a musical celebration of this vital form of American music that has strongly influenced every generation of musicians. Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable donation for the Old Bridge Food Pantry to this free concert.

Then, on Thurs. Dec. 14th from 6:30 to 9pm, the Library will present an “Open Mic” night. Singers, songwriters, poets, and musicians are invited to perform in a night of creative and artistic expression. All styles are welcome, but material should be suitable for all audiences.
Coffee, pastries and refreshments will be served.  A sign-up sheet for performers will be located at the Library’s Information Services Desk until Dec. 13th.
