Old Bridge, NJ – Oct. 10, 2019 – Residents looking for fun, free Halloween events should look no further than the Old Bridge Public Library, which will host the following holiday programs this month, including their annual “Li-Scary Spooktacular.”
Sisters in Crime Author Event: Sat. Oct. 19th at 2pm. The Sisters in Crime Central New Jersey Chapter offers a friendly, supportive network for women crime writers. During this presentation, several authors will share their experiences and tips as mystery and crime writers.
Teen Party: Tues. Oct. 22nd at 7pm. Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to the Library for spooky games, costume contests, snacks and prizes.
Sensory Play Halloween Party: Fri. Oct. 25th from 6-8pm. Designed for kids with special needs and their families, this event will provide some not-too-spooky fun. Kids will be able to improve social play and develop their fine motor skills by investigating and exploring Halloween-themed sensory stations as well as hands-on activities and crafts. Caregivers must stay with their children.
Li-scary Spooktacular: Sat. Oct. 26th from 11am-2pm. This popular annual event will begin with a spooky storytime at 11am, followed by fun crafts and activities for kids, who will also have the opportunity to trick or treat around the Library. Costumes are encouraged. Also, from 11:30-1pm, there will be Baby Boo & Toddler Too Halloween Party, a drop-in party geared for babies and kids up to 3 years old in the Story Time Room. The festivities will have fun crafts, sensory stations and activities specifically tailored for this age group. Children will also have the chance to trick or treat around the Library.
The Nightmare Before Christmas: Mon. Oct. 28th at 6:30pm. This interactive screening of the cult-classic will feature audience participation, costumes, sing-alongs, fake snowball fights and scary decor.
Halloween Hullabaloo: Thurs. Oct. 31st at 11am: Young patrons are invited to show off their costumes and celebrate Halloween with a spooky storytime, craft, and trick or treat parade around the Library.
All Library events are free and open to the public. No registration is necessary for these events.
