Old Bridge, NJ – Aug 6, 2018 — The Old Bridge Public Library will once again offer English as a Second Language (ESL) classes on Tuesday evenings from 7-8:30pm, and on Wednesday mornings from 10 – 11:30am. Two sessions are available; the Tuesday evening classes begin September 18th and the Wednesday morning classes start September 19th. Both classes are available to Old Bridge residents only, and generally end in mid-December.

Registration begins Monday, August 20th and must be done in-person at the Adult and Information Services desk at the Central Branch of the Library. Classes are free to Old Bridge residents and are taught in small groups by trained volunteers. Due to the popularity of the sessions and the limited space, residents are strongly encouraged to register as soon as possible to avoid being shut out.  The Library hosts a potluck meal on the last day of class, where all the students (and tutors) are encouraged to bring a dish representative of their country of origin, and eligible students receive a Certificate of Achievement.

The Old Bridge Public Library has consistently been voted one of the three “Best Public Library in Middlesex County” by the readers of the Home News Tribune. The Library is open seven-days-a-week and is located at 1 Old Bridge Plaza at the corner of Rt. 516 and Cottrell Road in the Municipal Center. More information about this and other Library programs can be found at www.oldbridgelibrary.org or by calling 732-721-5600 x5033.
