Old Bridge, NJ – April 6, 2016 – As part of its Meet the Author series, the Old Bridge Public Library will host an appearance by popular children’s author Nan Marino on Mon. April 25th at 7pm.
Marino, a NJ resident and author of Hiding Out at the Pancake Palace and Neil Armstrong is My Uncle, will read from her books and answer questions. Hiding Out at the Pancake Palace tells the story of 11-year-old musical prodigy, Elvis Ruby, favored to win the most coveted reality show on television, Tween Star. But the night of the show, with millions watching, Elvis panics and is forced to run from the paparazzi camped outside his door and spend the summer working with his aunt and cousin at Piney Pete’s Pancake Palace in the remote wilds of New Jersey. Neil Armstrong is My Uncle also explores adolescence, and is about a group of kids with unique personalities growing up in Long Island during the summer Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. Attendees are welcome to bring their copies of Marino’s books for her to sign following the reading.
Past appearances in the Library’s author series have included appearances by children’s authors Rachelle Burk, Meg Wiviott and Marcy Kagan.
