Old Bridge, NJ – May 3, 2017 – The Blue Jersey Band will play “Django, Jazz, and Bluegrazz” at the Old Bridge Public Library’s Second Saturday Concert Series on Sat. May 13th at 2:30pm.
Blue Jersey Band brings an eclectic mix of swing, gypsy jazz, and bluegrass from the 1920s through 1960s to their performances. With Frank Ruck on mandolin, guitar and vocals, Ellen Ruck on guitar and vocals, and John Burton on bass guitar, they provide a lively and swinging music session. Their influences include Django Reinhardt, Tony Rice and David Grisman and they are favorites at numerous music festivals, including Musikfest, New England Folk Festival, Swingin’ Tern, and New Hope Arts Festival. They have played popular venues including Albert Music Hall, Cafe Improv, Chico’s House of Jazz, and South Brunswick Jazz Café.
