Intro to Sewing for Kids (Ages 8-12) 4-Part Series: Part 3*
November 16 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
This is Part 3 of a 4-Part Series: the same participants attend all parts
Come join us as we dive into learning about the parts of a sewing machine. All students will get comfortable sewing straight lines, measuring and cutting fabric as we make a bookmark and small stuffed toy. This program is for children ages 8-12 years old.
- Space is limited and registration is required to attend.
- Prioritization is given to Old Bridge residents due to limited spots. Please have your STELLA library card number available.
- Please only sign up if you can attend all 4 sessions from 11-12:30 pm on 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, and 11/23
Registration will open 2 weeks before the first class date, on 10/19 at 10:00 am. Register under the Part 1 listing here.
A parent/guardian must sign and return a Liability Waiver on behalf of their child prior to the first session. Waivers are available at the information desk. In accordance with the library’s Youth Services Policy, a caregiver must remain at the library for children who are under 14 years of age.
Participants are required to bring the following items: 4 Fat Quarters
A Fat Quarter is a quarter-yard cut of fabric that measures approximately 18″ x 22″. This makes it wider than the typical quarter-yard cut, which is long and thin at 9″ x 44″
