Welcome to Old Bridge Public Library’s summer reading program!

Summer Reading Kickoff

Start your summer with fun on Saturday, June 24th at our celebratory summer reading kickoff! There will be crafts and programs for all ages, and a special family program – Tall Ships & Pirate Tales by Sciencetellers at 11 a.m.

Set sail with us for an action packed adventure with some crazy pirates!  Explore science as you help them escape the island.  Attendees will receive free ice cream after the program, courtesy of Friendly’s®.

Summer Reading Calendars

  • Coming soon!

Build a Better World (kids)

Join the library’s Summer Reading Club! Read books and earn prizes! For every five books you read, programs you attend, or puzzles you complete, you’ll get a prize! Choose Team Red or Team Blue, and help your team get the most points to win our Summer Reading marathon! Ask at the Youth Services Desk for more information or blank reading logs.

Build a Better World (teens)

Write reviews! You can review anything (books read, movies watched, programs attended, games played, etc.). Get a review pamphlet when you visit the library, download one below, or visit the online summer reading portal and create a free account. Each review/post earns you a snack and puts you into that week’s raffle drawing. All reviews go into the end of summer drawings for prizes. You can enter as many reviews as you want, but snacks are limited to 3 per day. Ask at the Youth Services Desk for more information or blank review forms.

Build a Better World (adults)

Summer reading programs aren’t just for kids!  Join our adult program and build a better world…and a better you!

Participating is easy!  Just complete an entry form and tell us how you use the library. Submit the form for a chance to win one of our themed prize bags.  You may submit multiple entry forms, but each participant is only eligible to win a prize bag once during the summer.  All participants will also have one entry in the drawing for the end-of-summer grand prize.  Pick up your entry forms when you visit the library, download one below, or visit the online summer portal and create a free account.  When you set up an online account, you can also share titles and reviews of the books you read during the summer.

You must be at least 18 and have a valid Old Bridge Public Library card to participate.

Winners for all prizes will be notified during the week of August 20.
