Old Bridge, NJ – July 12, 2018 – The Old Bridge Public Library has partnered with the Da Vinci Science Center’s outreach program to allow patrons to explore the thrill felt while riding roller coasters.

As part of the ongoing InQuire Science Series, the “Thrill Ride!” program on Sunday, July 22nd at 2:30pm will examine the factors that generate the excitement experienced on amusement park rides such as roller coasters. During the interactive exploration of roller coaster physics and design, participants will work in teams to create their own model coasters. They will investigate variables, forces and energy while working to meet specific design challenges. The session is geared for children ages 8 and up. No registration is necessary.

The Da Vinci Science Center, based in Allentown, PA, is a national award-winning nonprofit organization that has brought science to life and lives to science since 1992. The Science Center’s hands-on exhibits, programs, and partnership efforts present the STEM subjects of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to kids informally, playfully, and in ways that relate to their popular interests. The Science Center also promotes creativity, artistry, and current-day applications of qualities of greatness embodied by Leonardo da Vinci and the innovators who have succeeded him.
